About Me
This blog is about my passion for women’s shoes and my sharing that passion with you!! I hope you enjoy my journey through all things shoes. I’ll ride on the wonderful sole of Mr. Louboutin back down through the more affordable choices. This blog and you are helping me build my Shoe Closet one magical moment at a time. Wherever this ride takes me I hope you’ll follow. Ultimately, my goal is to use this platform to do charitable events in the future.
Mother/Shoe Lover
I am a mother, a great friend, a confidante and a Human Resource worker by day. I love the other facets of my life with all my heart but honestly shoes make me smile. I love clothes and a good bag but if I pop into a store I can guarantee you within in a few minutes I am bee-lining towards the shoe department. My shoes are the soul of me and they are indicative of my mood. If I’m feeling sexy then I might wear a 5 inch platform shoe that’s a head turner or I may downplay the sexy and go for an edgy boot. Ahhh but that’s the great thing about shoes.. is options, options, options!
The Power of a Shoe
Now just for a moment think about how much power a shoe really has. For starters (and a very basic point which always has numerous offenders), a shoe can make or break an outfit. Something else to think about ….A shoe can also divulge insight into a person’s personality without that person ever speaking a word!! Now that’s power!
Shoes are a great outfit booster and a great confidence booster. They can just evoke so many wonderful emotions and thoughts that dwell in that wonderful space of your memory. They are so much more than the obvious covering for your feet. Shoes mean so much more to me, which is why ShoeCloszet.com was created. I was laid off from my job at one point and I needed a reason to smile. Shoes are and were the only thing that helped me during that difficult phase in my life.
My love of shoes is nothing new. I remember moving into my first apartment. It took me about 20 minutes to move in with my non-existent furniture but it took me a while to carry all of my shoes into the apartment. I have needed to raise my hand at Shoeholics Anonymous (if there is such a place) since I was a little girl but I won’t go past the stage of admitting that I have a problem. Honestly, I don’t want to be healed. I just want to smile at my next purchase of shoes.
Education
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resources. Then I had this crazy idea that I wanted a Master’s degree in Business. I am a few classes shy of completing that goal. The nerdy side of me thirsts for knowledge. The impractical side or maybe the practical side depending on how you look at it thirsts for shoes.
