Several media outlets are reporting that Anna Dello Russo’s buzz with the H&M collaboration isn’t generating the customer excitement of past collaborations such as Jimmy Choo and Versace (also at H&M). Racked reported that there were only 20 people standing in line the day of the launch and they snapped the picture above to prove it. As we know a lot of the stuff was probably snatched up and some of it is on EBay. EBay is just the nature of the beast with how things go with these collaborations. I was able to see the display window but I didn’t have time to go in the store to touch and feel the shoes up close and personal unfortunately (if there were any left).
I read some of the comments on different sites that stated the shoes felt plastic. As we know opinions are just what they are OPINIONS but when different people consistently say the same remark I pay attention. That was the case with this line. The lowest cost for the shoes is $59.95 for roll-up ballet flats. The top priced shoe is a thigh high boots for $299. I wasn’t blown away by what I saw but I think everything is not for everybody. I can’t wait to see how people rock them.
