I have to admit I was reluctant to rock the menswear inspired oxford shoes. AT FIRST I saw others rock them but I didn’t think my swag meter was high enough to pull them off right. Rule #1 IF the shoe doesn’t fit you must QUIT-quit trying to force it. These are a play on words from inspired by Johnny Cochran’s famous words regarding acquitting a case. Although he was referencing a glove, it still rings true. I never force the fit on my shoes nor will a force a trend that doesn’t quite fit my style.

BUT I am reformed. I like the menswear style. I like mixing menswear with super feminine styles. It’s the hard and soft balance that I love.

Here’s my first pair of menswear inspired shoes. They are super comfy and economically priced for those of you that aren’t willing to totally commit (like I was). I purchased them at Target for very cheap!

I’m planning on wearing them with my jeans cuffed and maybe a funky stripe top with a black blazer. I like the funky Americana vibe sometimes. But I love to see pictures of how other wear the styles. Are you a oxford lover? If so send me a picture of how you rock them!
