Nine West Channel 9 For All You Shoe Lovers!
The Jones Group, the parent company of Nine West, has announced a new branding attempt for Nine West entitled Channel 9, which is a channel that will produce online programming related to shoes and fashion. It will be available on their Youtube, Facebook and Tumbler. This is a new multimedia blitz to take Nine West to next level. The company has stated that the sales are steady but they have to position themselves for growth for building their affordable brand.
Richard Dickson, president and chief executive of the Jones Group’s Branded Businesses stated
“The video channel will be a way for us to bring original content and entertainment to viewers” and build an online community around Nine West, said Mr. Dickson, who also oversees other Jones Group brands, including Stuart Weitzman. “We want to rewrite the rules of fashion marketing so it’s not just about a shoe, it’s about a conversation. We want Nine West to be a place you want to shop because you love shoes, not a place to shop when you need shoes.”
Several series have been added to teach viewers all about shoes and fashion including some celebrity appearances. Channel 9 will offer shows similar to reality shows as they follow teens that received Nine West for prom giveaways. Keep your eyes open. Their media bus may be in a town near you, if you are ready to make a Shoe “Confession”. Also, for all of you that will be attending NY Fashion Week don’t be surprise if a Channel 9 truck rolls past you.
