The designer spotlight shines brightly on native New Yorker Layla-joy Williams, who has already made quite a stamp on the footwear industry. With over 10 years of design work, innumerable creative contributions and incredible insight into the most prized accessories category in women’s fashion, it is no surprise that the designer has branched out with a highly anticipated collection of her own.
While designing for industry leaders like Converse, Nina Shoes, and BCNY where she worked with Michael Kors and Stuart Weitzman, the designer decided it was time to make her mark more personal. Layla-joy set out to embark on a remarkable journey, developing a namesake collection that would consist of chic, wearable and affordable shoes for the everyday trendsetter.
Head designer and CEO, Layla-joy Williams, describes the collection as
“A luxury brand with innovative styling. Our luxury collection fills a niche…we bridge fashion and wearability in a way that’s accessible to all women. The brand was born out of a dilemma we all seemed to face. What women really need are well-priced transitional pieces that can move from season to season and from day to night while ensuring comfort and style with ease,”
Focusing on two collections each year, LAYLAJOY offers a variety of sandals, flats, pumps and boots to accompany women through each memorable moment. One of her latest of many memorable moments was mention in O magazine for the “Alice” leopard flat. The “Alice” flat is a great addition to your shoe closet and it’s right on trend. My favorite shoe on the site also happens to be my pick for the Shoe of the Day!
