B Brian Atwood Fontane

April 25, 2012

Let me just go on record and say I love BRIAN ATWOOD’s shoes. So now that I have that out the way. I’m not sure how I feel about this shoe. The “Fontane” is a design that is more like “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” shoe.  Meaning, it’s a staple shoe in his line that the colors and the materials change from time to time but the design doesn’t. I don’t dislike the styling but the colors on this version confused me just a little. What’s your thought on this shoe? Would you pay the $350 price tag to add this shoe to your shoe closet?

I do like the shoe, the materials are cool and the design is a staple for sure. HOWEVER I wouldn’t pay the $350 price tag because its not a “go to” shoe for me. The materials date the shoe so 5-10 years from now, I would like at it and say “no-go!”. I would purchase it if it was Jessica Simpson’s line or someone with another moderately priced well crafted line.

That makes perfect good sense! It’s actually how I approach whether I should splurge or not. Thanks for your reply!

I feel like this shoe is a been there and done that shoe. I have a similar pair I am getting rid of and have only worn them ONCE. Why? Because of the same issue with these shoes.. too much going on and you can only wear them with select things. They look cheap as well.. :( I love Brian Atwood shoes.. But these underwhelm.

Agreed. Yes, I love him as well but I feel like he fell way short on this one too.
