I think I said it before I used to be a Target store stalker. I would peruse the aisles in “I spy” mode and fill up my cart as if someone else was paying. Well, I have slowed down my visits to Target but I was in the store the other day when I spotted a 5 pack of plastic shoe boxes. Ok, so why did this excite me? I really don’t know besides the fact that I have shoes that don’t have a shoe box to reside in. I like to be organized, although most days my closet is a cross between a neatly organized store and a heavily visited sales rack with items randomly tossed about. So these shoe boxes are an answer to part of my chaos at least. They are sold in a package of 5 as I previously stated, although the Target shoe boxes price was a little high ($39 on sale currently for $35.79). If it makes you feel better, the lids came in several color choices to aid in making your closet visually appealing.

If the colored lids on the shoe boxes at Target don’t float your boat enough to grab your wallet, the Container Store has clear boxes for $1.89. Yayy! They are totally clear and they do the trick at a much lower price per box.

After you decide which box better suits your needs, the next step would be to take a picture of your shoes to attach to the box. This is a helpful trick, especially if your shoes are stored above eye level. This allows you to see the picture without pulling down the boxes.

Of course if you have that special shoe, you may want to store it a more displayed manner. You can use a cabinet that would typically be meant for other storage usages and if you desire to store a pair of shoes Christian Louboutin’s way using the bell jar that would be pretty eye-catching as well.
