The groundbreaking occurred on Macy’s dreamy 63,000 square foot playground for the shoe lover. Merely thinking about 300,000 pairs of shoes on one floor it’s hard to contain the excitement that’s bubbling inside of me. Unfortunately, my excitement will have to simmer down until Fall 2012. In case you haven’t heard (which is almost unheard of since there were even whispers under the rocks), shopping in this shoe playground will be an entire customer experience. There will be luxury shoe shops such as Louis Vuitton, a designer salon, the finest champagne offerings for shoppers, chocolate bars and more. It almost seems unfair to have to wait for all of this but I’m sure it will be more than worth the wait.
